Rob Lear, a criminally underrated singer-songwriter… there’s a rare depth and beauty to his songs that suggest if they were ever heard in a wider context, he’d be a household name.

Million Stars, Snowblind and Heaven Help are stand outs – all infused with a lovely playful melodic sensibility that recalls the finer moments of The Beautiful South.

A roll-call of testimonies from various music industry figures ..one in particular jumps out at you. “If nothing happens to these songs then the record industry must have s*** in their ears” – Kingsley Ward, owner of Rockfield Studios.

Given the owner of the legendary studios has witnessed the likes of Queen, Led Zeppelin, The Stone Roses and Oasis pass through his doors, you would imagine he knows what he’s talking about. And on this occasion it’s hard to disagree with him…………….Dave Owens, South Wales Echo, 2011

Rob Lear – Little Acorns[single].  Beguiling and beautiful music from Welsh singer-songwriter……walesonline.co.uk, 2011

Rob Lear is an artist you just have to go see, have a pint, and let the music wash all your worries away."
